Top 10 Skills Needed for Media Literacy as a Teacher
  1. Collaboration (with other teachers)
  2. Access (can access useful resources)
  3. Analyzing (can review students work)
  4. Creativity (think outside the box)
  5. Knowledge (need to be informative)
  6. Comprehension (understand what’s appropriate for student age)
  7. Safety (know what is safe for students to access)
  8. Skills (teacher needs to have skills in order to teach skills
  9. Optimism (teacher needs to remain optimistic and clam about technology - show students that technology can be easy)
  10. Consistency (teacher must be consistent with teachings so that student can understand - there may be several processes when it comes to technology so consistency in teaching it may be key to learning it)
